Yes, if you find the name familar, I’ve blogged about L’ECLAIR before – here and here! Possibly my favorite eclair place in town, because I don’t really like eclairs in general, unless they are from L’ECLAIR of course. HAHA!
I’m pretty sure we are all a bit sian from seeing log cakes and turkeys for Christmas. Anyway, is it me or do you guys also think log cakes are just swiss rolls with an atas name and wrinkled skin? Christmas eclairs, well.. That’s something new for me!
Let’s start introducing with the lighter flavors, also that’s how you are recommended to eat them if you’re intending to get all 4 flavors!
This comes with a craqueline crunchy exterior, a slight but very welcome variation from the rest of the eclairs. You can expect to bite into the crisp surface to reveal the rich, luscious speculoos cream within! Mmmm.. It’s just the right amounts of richness and won’t leave you jelat after like 3/4 of it, in fact, it may just leave you wanting for more!
2.Cranberry White Chocolate ($8.50)
This is hands down THE prettiest eclair I’ve ever came across. What in the world. It belongs to the art museum lah. Haha!
This not only looks good, it tastes amazing as well! Especially with the cranberry filling within! LOOK! Okay I don’t know how to explain until it’s very exquisite lah, but JUST LOOK AT THIS.
It’s so pretty I took like 15 minutes to take pictures just for this eclair. Because must capture its chio-est angle.
3. Peppermint Dark Chocolate ($8.50)
This is super christmassy, yes? Haha! We thought the peppermint is this was a tad too much, but they are on it to make it better when they launch it to you guys from tomorrow onwards! What’s Christmas without peppermint right? Having this just makes me happy because my schema associates peppermint to Christmas! Hehe!
4. Blood Orange Chocolate (Contains Alcohol) – $8.50
When I first saw this, the first thought that came to my mind was, WA IS IT THEY COLLABORATE WITH JANICE WONG FROM 2AM?! Haha, and THAT is a huge compliment I’d think. Because this was really, really, really pretty and it was just like having edible art! Orange and chocolate are a heavenly match, and we wonder why they aren’t MORE of such combinations these days!
