Explodingbelly is sacrificing her sleep just to churn out this post for you guys because GOOD THINGS MUST SHARE. I know you guys have heard me rave about Paddy Hills since its birth to its new menu and to… EVERYTHING LAH. The reason for this post?

Paddy Hills has managed to get their hands on the last batch of Australian TRUFFLES and have decided to bring you guys on a gastronomical adventure with their creations. This would last just for TWO weekends – this weekend (3/9 to 4/9) and the next (10/9 to 11/9)!

What would they be offering?

If I were to come up with a name for this, I would call it the ULTIMATE TRUFFLE FRIES ($26), WHY?

Photo Aug 28, 12 54 43 Just look at this.. This is a WHOLE mountain of fries (good enough for a party of 4 to share and have left overs), with copious amounts of parmesan and wait for it…Photo Aug 28, 12 55 35 FOUR TO FIVE GRAMS OF WINTER TRUFFLES FROM PERTH. LEGIT truffles hor. No way. These truffles are different from the usual China truffles we usually have due to it being slightly smoky as well as not too overpowering to the point that it mars the enjoyment of a good bowl of truffle fries. It’s a good balance, and also not make you wonder if you’re eating oil or truffle fries.

We really liked how the fragrance in this one was evenly distributed, as well as, how crisp the fries stayed throughout the meal. Besides, they do garnish the entire bowl with some bling. Hehe!Photo Aug 28, 12 56 42What a beauty this one is. I want another bowl of it!

Of course, with the brains behind Paddy Hills, they wouldn’t just do a solid truffle fries using those truffles and be contented with it. The next dish that I was really impressed with, was their BIG TRUFFLE BREAKFAST ($29).

Seriously, this was good for TWO.Photo Aug 28, 13 11 23 This constitutes of a home made bagel topped with all my favorite ingredients.

1. SCRAMBLED EGGS

2. HOME CURED SMOKED SALMON – seriously this was ONE OF ITS KIND. SERIOUSLY.

3. Yuzu Hollandaise

4. And of course, DANG TRUFFLES. Photo Aug 28, 13 07 47 (1) This was the show we were treated to. Mmmm. And beside the amazing treat we had with the bagel, they also served half a creamy avocado and TWO FREAKING SLABS OF HOME CURED BACON. Guys… The fat ratio was PERFECT. Photo Aug 28, 13 12 55The home cured items out shone the truffles in this one, nonetheless I thought the entire combination was pretty sick. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this dish with all my favorites on a plate, and thought this was priced too affordably.

I could do this plate without the truffles as well. PUT IT ON THE MENU ALREADY.

This one’s for you all, truffle lovers. Paddy Hills is definitely the place to go this weekend. Even if you’re not huge on truffles, you got to try their unique brunch offerings on their revamped menu.

OH, before I forget, while you’re there, get the Mount Matcha ($12) milkshake. Not too MATCHA-Y, BUT I really loved the blend of cereals and ice cream altogether and then with the slight hint of matcha.Photo Aug 28, 13 05 28It’s an absolute stunner as well.

Photo Aug 28, 13 10 26Pretty sure we turned heads with this one. Haha! BUT it would be better with more matcha aftertaste! Good enough for me, I would have chugged the entire cup if it weren’t for things like calories. HAHA!
