Drinks for any occasion – My Favorite ShareTea Concoctions

photo-oct-29-4-17-18-pm

The year 1992 must have been an amazing, game changing year for mankind because that’s the year when ShareTea and I were born! HAHA! Having established in Taipei, ShareTea has flourished through the years (just like I have), and has expanded to over 450 stores WORLDWIDE, including Singapore, US, UK, Australia and MORE.

While they have grown exponentially across the nations, they have made sure to keep their quality in check by using only tea leaves and selected ingredients shipped directly from Taiwan. Their growth is witnessed by the increasing number of outlets around Singapore, mostly in town and….The west areas in Singapore. photo-oct-29-4-16-28-pmFor people who know me, you will know I’m a huge sucker for drinks with anything chewy inside and I do have a couple of favorites from ShareTea after my years of trying them out on the way to school while I was in NUS (yes, they have an outlet at Kent Ridge MRT), and of course, while shopping in town!

Here are my favorites!

1. Taro Milk Tea with White Pearl photo-oct-29-4-17-48-pmDefinitely my top choice ever. Taro milk with white pearls, the perfect combination. I like how their white pearls has the extra crunch as compared to the usual pearls, and that thick creamy taro milk. Mmmm.. I don’t even like taro anything, but this taro milk from ShareTea is the only one I consume, with passion. Haha!

If you want to have a much creamier tasting taro milk tea, go for the higher sugar percentages, it’s satisfyingly creamy but a tad too sweet for myself. Then again, my level of tolerance for sweetness is really low, ironically.

2. Okinawa Milk Teaphoto-oct-29-4-13-24-pmThis has got to be the favorite amongst my peers because I learned about the goodness of this drink from all that raving previously. Using the roasted brown sugar from Okinawa, which gives it an aromatic taste, the ShareTea team has also added another dimension to this drink – COFFEE, for a greater balance to the flavors, and you definitely can’t find this any where else. I’d say the Okinawa Milk Tea is the defining drink for ShareTea for milk tea lovers.

That silky smooth pudding makes a real good topping as well. Go easy on the sugar preference on this one, as the Okinawa milk tea tends to be slightly sweeter than its normal milk tea counterpart.

3.  Matcha Lattephoto-oct-29-4-17-18-pmFor matcha lovers, you might also want to venture to ShareTea for your matcha fix! Using the matcha powder from Taiwan and fresh milk, this rendition might be a tad too milky for serious matcha lovers, but I’d think it’s a refreshing change to our matcha lattes as there is an option to add on toppings to this very drink!

4. Aloha Fruit Teaphoto-oct-29-4-17-00-pmMade with Apple, Pineapple (Ummm… please dont start with the PPAP thing), Orange and Passionfruit, this one came as a surprise to me. Not usually a fan of non milk teas, this was so refreshing and good, I was addicted to the citrusy burst of flavors. I can imagine myself craving for a cup of this in the hot weather and even, after meals! The best part? They even have the edible passionfruit bits for an additional bite! PERFECT or what.

Besides these 4, ShareTea also have their other best sellers such as the Original Milk Tea, as well as the Wintermelon Milk Tea and MORE! From milk teas to fruit teas to lattes and even to “No Tea”s, ShareTea has them all! Find them at the various locations:
