MAGNUM in a PINT – I kid you not.

img_2399.jpg

OMG OMG OMG. Magnum finally comes in a pint in Singapore! All our late night magnum cravings while we netflix can be fixed without the mess I usually make when eating the ones on a stick! OMG OMG.

Is this a dream or is this reality?

What do these aesthetically pleasing tubs of ice cream consist of?

Well, just like the usual magnum – the creamy vanilla ice cream is encased by rich, velvety chocolate (milk, white or studded with almonds), and to elevate the entire experience to the next level, the vanilla ice cream is also studded with shards of chocolates for a good crunch and flavor!

They now come in 3 different flavors – Classic, White and Almond!

Classic

White

ALMOND!!

How to consume?

First timers might be intrigued by the sides of the pints that read:

I don’t know about you, but it definitely sounded exciting to me. Honestly, nothing visually exciting is gonna happen when you press from the outside.

Remove the lid

Proceed to rip the foil apart

SQUEEZE REALLY HARD AT THE SIDESIts a pretty hard layer of chocolate right on the top, I tried to crack it with the spoon but failed horribly. So all you can do is SQUEEEEZEEEE, until the ice cream cracks the chocolate!

VERDICT

Omg is it as amazing as it looks and as we can imagine?

I tried the Original – while the flavors were intact, that amazing pleasurable sensation of the crunch of the chocolate casing and the combination of chocolate with vanilla with every mouthful were lacking. Too much ice cream, too little chocolate. Sigh.

Perhaps I haven’t reached the end of the tub to give you guys a good verdict on this one, but premilinary taste wise, it was… not as good as expected.

They are currently not launched yet at this point of writing, but will soon be when Magnum celebrates its FIRST EVER PERMANENT STORE AT ION ORCHARD this 27th July!

Stay tuned to find out! Meanwhile, lick your screens while reading through this post ok!

XOXO
