Pepper Lunch Keeps Their Menu Sizzling With EIGHT New Additions!

img_2699.jpg

The thought of Pepper Lunch just incites this bubble of happiness in me because it reminds me of my secondary school days (omg I got so old meh) and the fun concept of “cooking” my own food!

Pepper Lunch has been pretty much the household name ever since it has set foot into Singapore from Japan! To make things even more exciting (especially for myself!!!), Pepper Lunch has recently launched several BRAND NEW ITEMS which adds a unique spin to the menu. Don’t believe right?

You see, you see.

OMG?! RISOTTO?! CARBONARA?! MEAT TRIO?!? *inserts the pull face emoji*

There’s something for everyone!

For the protein lovers like myself, they’ve got a trio of MEAT / SEAFOOD!
1. Meat Trio Deluxe ($16.90)

Can you imagine – CHICKEN, BEEF SLICES AND HAMBURG all in one plate? No need imagine, they have it all covered at Pepper Lunch. Omg, these were SO GOOD – those thick juicy slices of meat! At just $16.90, it’s pretty much a steal!

2. Seafood Trio Deluxe ($17.50)

This one is a definite winner for the pescatarians (I had to Google the spelling) or people who simply love their seafood. Salmon steak, Saba fish and 3 juicy scallops, with the addition of their special sauce for that umami oomph to the dish.

We thought the platters were so generous, it’s even good for 2 to share! But of course not with me, cause I want it all to myself.

The CURRY LOVERS..

Here’s 2 rendition for you guys:

3. Chicken Katsu ($12.90)

4. Ebi Fry ($12.90)

Both of which would definitely hit the right spot if you’re craving for something fried. The ratio of the breaded crust to protein was perfect with the right amount of crunch to meat ratio. Those prawns were PLUMP by the way.

I really liked how the pan keeps the curry warm throughout the meal, because cold curry is always a turn off. We wished the curry could be more gao for the more Japanese curry feel; nonetheless still pretty tasty and it’s not spicy, just in case you guys were wondering!

For the ATAS Western diners, who can’t get enough of your pastas and risottos, I can’t believe it BUT Pepper Lunch has got you covered!

Pasta:

5. Salmon and Prawn Carbonara ($12.90)

Shiok! There were very generous toppings of salmon and prawn in this one! And I enjoyed cooking my own pasta too! Hehe!

Risotto:

Wait what?!? Risotto?!

6. Beef Cheesy Risotto ($12.90)

7. Seafood Cheesy Risotto ($12.90)

Their risotto creation is an upgrade from the all time favorite Pepper Rice and a HUGE deal for cheese lovers like myself!I was utterly impressed with these 2 dishes. Of course one does not expect it to be super super authentic risotto with the Arborio rice but it’s definitely cheesey and comforting enough to hit the right spots.

I would so totally come back for the risotto!

Here’s how cheesey we made it to be! Ok la we cheated and added cheese, hehe, let you guys enjoy visually, better than nothing right?

We ended off the meal with their brand new floats and ice cream!

The yuzu flavor was pretty refreshing at just $1.90!
And what makes things more exciting at Pepper Lunch has got to be their FLOAT ($3.30).

I call it the – “Whatever Floats Your Boat” because you get to choose any drink and add a swirl of vanilla ice cream to it! I got myself a creamy MILO, and a ribena float. Oh my, SOOOOO GOOD!
What a spin to the menu of my childhood favorite restaurant – I’ll definitely be back for more of their special sauce, meats and RISOTTO!

Sounds too good to be true? You guys got to head down to your nearest Pepper Lunch outlet to try ’em out, and I’m gonna make this experience even better because you’re gonna get 15% off ANY ala carte dish when you quote” EXPLODINGBELLY” at any of the 7 Pepper Lunch outlets! Valid till 30th Sept! Don’t say bojio!
